Statistics of imports and exports in Kazakhstan for 2019

Import and export in Kazakhstan increased significantly over the past year, which favorably affected the economy of Kazakhstan. We well know that the main resource of Kazakhstan’s profit is wealth of mineral resources. And the neighboring countries are doing an excellent job of supplying us with all the necessary means of a comfortable life.

Import in Kazakhstan grew to 3323.80 million US dollars in December from 2940.20 million US dollars since November 2019.

The main imports of Kazakhstan are: electronics, machinery and mechanical devices (25 percent of total imports); mineral products (15 percent); transport equipment (12 percent); base metals and related products (10 percent); chemicals and related products (8 percent) and food and drink (6 percent). The main import partners are Russia (34 percent of total imports) and China (17 percent). Others include: Germany (6.6 percent), the USA (4.4 percent) and Italy (3.9 percent).

Export in Kazakhstan increased to 4938.90 million US dollars in December from 4666 million US dollars since November 2019.

Kazakhstan has an export-oriented economy that is heavily dependent on oil and related products (73 percent of total exports). Other exports include: ferrous metals, copper, aluminum, zinc and uranium. The main export partners are: Italy (18 percent), China (12 percent of total exports), the Netherlands (11 percent), Russia (10 percent) and France (6 percent). Others include: Switzerland, Ukraine, and Canada.
